Located in the Highbrook Business Park in East Tamaki, the brand new Barfoot and Thompson South Auckland Office and Auction Rooms offer state of the art amenities on this purpose built site.
Barfoot and Thompson required a mechanical solution that could efficiently ventilate and air condition multiple meeting rooms and auction rooms with variable levels of occupancy.
Mitsubishi Electric was selected to provide units that would serve both the ventilation and air conditioning requirements of these unique set of rooms.
A large commercial Lossnay Energy Recovery Ventilation System was selected to ventilate both the auction rooms and conference area. Six LGH-150RVX-E units in total were installed,
along with locally procured CO2 sensors installed within the room spaces. The use of CO2 sensors allowed the fan speed to be controlled based on the CO2 readings, creating an efficient way
to setup the ventilation system.
Two identical Y-series Heat Pump Systems were installed in the auction rooms and conference area. On each system, four PEFY-P125VMA-E mid static ducted units serve the heating and cooling requirements
of each space.
Further to this, a Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi Control adaptor was fitted to each of these VRF indoor units to enable unit control via the Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi Control App.
City Multi factory marine treated (-BS) outdoor units were selected for this project due to the sites close proximity to the sea.
