Chipmunks Queenstown

Chipmunks Queenstown is a new complex located by the Remarkables Park. Facilities include an indoor kids play centre, and a full-service café.
The Challenge
To provide an efficient air conditioning solution for this large and open indoor playground facility.
The Mitsubishi Electric Solution
Like many large children’s playground facilities, Chipmunks Queenstown is a large warehouse building primarily made up of one open plan area with playground and café areas.
One City Multi two-pipe heat recovery system was selected to heat and cool the Chipmunks Queenstown building. The indoor units chosen for this large space were five 10kW VRF high wall units, and two 10kW
VRF cassette units, as these units could be spread out easily along three walls of the building and the cassette units in the centre of the building in the lower set ceiling void.
Local control of these indoor units is achieved via two PAR-31MAA-J Controllers with each controller group controlling three and four of the indoor units respectively.
