Are you an experienced refrigeration/HVAC technician looking to get out of the plant room or ceiling space but still keep your hands on the tools?
This is a very unique role where no two jobs are the same. You will be responsible for supporting our customers with telephone based technical support as well as providing hands-on workshop repairs for all products BDT sells.
To be successful in this role you will have technical knowledge and experience in the HVAC market, specifically with domestic heat pumps, ventilation and refrigeration. You may also have knowledge or experience in hot water heat pump products, commercial VRF systems and chillers.
We provide product specific training and will guide you through how to deliver industry leading technical support.

You will be a strong communicator skilled at researching and relaying technical information to our customers who can vary from being highly competent qualified installers to end users trying to understand how they can best use their systems.
You will be resilient, cope well under pressure and be able to field a large variety of requests within our busy technical support department with a friendly and practical approach.
You will need to show initiative as you will be working independently from time to time and be self-driven and a strong multitasker.
A trade qualification in refrigeration and air-conditioning is required and have at least 3-5 years’ experience in the HVAC industry. Experience in industry theory and practical fault finding is essential.
Additionally, you must carry a limited electrical registration although full registration is preferred.
