Introducing the NX-G06 Air Source Chillers and Heat Pump Range (153-338 kW) with scroll compressors and low GWP refrigerant R454B for process and comfort applications

Mitsubishi Electric and BDT are pleased to announce an extension of the NX-G06 Air Source Chiller and Heat Pump Range from MEHITS Climaveneta.

These new 4-scroll compressor heat pumps and chillers are available in comfort and process models including:

• NX-G06 4-Compressor Chiller for comfort applications
• NX-N-G06 4-Compressor Heat Pump for comfort applications
• NX-G06-Y 4-Compressor Chiller for process applications
• NX-N-G06-Y 4-Compressor Heat Pump for process applications

New larger capacity models available

In addition to the smaller NX-G06 Range which come in 50kW to 218kW capacities, the new models are available with capacities from 153kW to 338kW. Furthermore, by featuring 4-scroll compressors, these larger units have two refrigerant circuits for increased redundancy.

As a result, this product is ideal for bigger commercial and industrial applications.

Next-generation R454B refrigerant for greater energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint

In line with the objective of the Kigali Amendment, MEHITS Climaveneta extends its low carbon offering to scroll units. R454B is the new low GWP refrigerant chosen for our fixed speed scroll units and is identified with the acronym G06.

R454B refrigerant features:

• Lowest GWP in the market for scroll units: only 466 (-76% vs R410A, -31% vs R32)
• Reduced refrigerant charge (-10% vs R410A)
• Higher efficiency (+3.5% vs R410A) with little capacity reduction
• Compatible with same materials and components as R410A
• Same operating map as R410A in cooling, better in heating
• Mildly flammable A2L, PED fluid group 1
• Composition: 69% R32 + 31% R1234yf

Derived from the existing NX Range with R410A (versions, configurations and main accessories are the same), these units have been upgraded to handle dangerous fluid (PED fluid group 1).

Some technical improvements have also been made to make the new NX-G06 Range more competitive and ready for the Energy Related Products (ErP) Directive 2021. One of the key improvements that has been made is this solution now has larger operating limits for heat pumps down to -15°C of outdoor temperature at full load.

Optional accessories are also available, including:

• EC fans
• Leak detector
• Energy meter for BMS or W3000 connection
• Smart control functions including Night Mode, user limit control, unit activation by remote temperature probe
• KIPlink and new communication protocols (Konnex, Modbus TCP/IP, SNMP, M-NET)
