Large Capacity, Slim Design

The Mitsubishi Electric WX Refrigerator features its most advanced insulation yet. The ‘vacuum insulation panels’, or ‘VIP’ is thinner and 10x more efficient than conventional insulation. The result is a larger internal capacity for maximum food storage space while maintaining smaller external dimensions for a slim, sleek design.

Non-Plumbed Automatic Ice Maker

The WX features a Non-Plumbed Automatic Ice Maker with separate ice drawer. As there is no separate plumbing connection required the fridge can be placed anywhere in your kitchen, not just near existing pipe work. And with its advanced cleaning filter that removes impurities, bacteria, and chlorine, ice will always be clean and fresh.

Removable Water Tank

The water tank, located at the bottom of the Refrigeration Compartment, saves significantly more space in comparison to side-by-side refrigerators, which typically have ice makers integrated in the door design and compromise on available depth. The water tank is easily removed, cleaned and refilled at the kitchen sink without the hassle and additional cost of plumbing the refrigerator into the water supply. This allows bottled mineral water to be used also.

Water Purification

Most automatic ice makers require filters to be replaced every 3-6 months and can be a costly exercise. Water in the refrigerator tank is purified through a lead cleaning filter which removes impurities, bacteria and chlorine to ensure fresh, clean, tasty ice for up to 10 years without needing to replace the filter.

Easy Clean System

The water supply system is easy to clean; removable water tank components just need to be flushed periodically with water to maintain optimum performance. Rubber components are treated with an anti-bacterial coating.

Ice Drawer

The separate Ice Drawer ensures ice cubes remain odour free, preventing absorption of lingering food odours that may be present.

Short term food storage is now even more convenient and sophisticated. The WX features the Sliding Chilled Case, perfect for neatly storing deli meats, cheeses and dairy products. And the Supercool Chilling Case is specifically designed to prolong the freshness of meats and fish.

Supercool Chilling Case

Keep meat and fish fresher for longer without having to freeze them. The Supercool Chilling Case is ideal for storing fresh meat for up to seven days and fresh fish for up to five days without the need to freeze.

Sliding Chilled Case

Conveniently store deli items such as deli meats, dips and dairy products. The Sliding Chilled Case keeps items neat, organised and out of the way and allows food to be stored in a fresh and healthy environment.

Innovative Shelving

Cleaning is easy with tempered glass shelves. The middle shelf can also be pushed back to make space for taller items.

Versa Freezer Drawer

The Versa Drawer gives you the ability to preserve food quality without losing moisture and taste, making storage more convenient and preparation a breeze even while food is still frozen. The Versa Drawer has three modes: Supercool Freezing, Soft Freezing, and Hot Freezing. And as an added bonus, when additional storage capacity is required the Versa Drawer can also be utilised for standard freezing.

Power Storage

The LED Sensor automatically controls the temperature of stored food, preventing frost and discolouration due to temperature differences within the freezer whilst preserving the freshness and taste of your food.

Hot Freezing

The LED Sensor and Twin Dampers are designed specifically to make it possible to place hot food into the freezer. The LED Sensor automatically detects hot food and adjusts the cold air flow directly onto the hot food from the separate air outlet for added convenience, time saving and to preserve the quality and freshness of the food.

Supercool Freezing

Maximise taste and maintain texture. Supercool Freezing ensures food is frozen evenly, locking in moisture and minimising cell destruction. Supercool Technology ensures food is frozen evenly so only the finest ice crystals are able to form, preserving the freshness and texture of food and locking in maximum flavour.

Soft Freezing

Soft Freezing allows food to be frozen for up to three weeks in a ‘soft’ state. This means meat can be easily cut without thawing. Pasta sauces can be stored frozen but kept soft enough to scoop out portions, this is also ideal for left over dips and baby foods.

Supercool Freezing process

1. The temperature drops below freezing point without freezing the food.
2. With a quick blast of cool air, ice particles form instantly ensuring food is frozen evenly.
3. Minute ice crystals develop evenly, locking in freshness, taste and texture.

Freezer Drawer

The Freezer Drawer is divided by a Sliding Tray at the top that can be pushed back to reveal the rest of the freezer drawer. The Freezer Drawer is roomy enough to fit bulky items such as ice cream tubs, loaves of bread and frozen vegetables. The top tray is ideal for storage and organisation of flat pack items such as meat packs.

Rapid Cool

Increase the cooling capacity of the refrigerator, freezer, and humidity compartments. This is ideal if a large amount of food is being stored, or doors/drawers are being opened and closed frequently. Automatically turns off after two hours.

Customisable Temperature Control

Providing true versatility, the freezer drawer can be customised from around -22°C to -16°C.

The Humidity Drawer is designed to maximise the freshness of produce. The drawer provides ideal surroundings for fruit and vegetables with a higher humidity than the main refrigerator compartment, ensuring fruit and vegetables stay crisper and fresher for longer.

Keep Vegetables Moist

Perfect for leafy vegetables, this function lowers the cooling airflow of the humidity drawer to reduce dryness and increase the moisture levels of your produce, keeping them fresh and crispy.

Vitalight LED System

The unique Vitalight LED lighting system is designed to slow down the wilting process of produce and maintain their original vitamin and anti-oxidant levels for longer. Vegetables and fruit stored in the specially designed Humidity Drawer with integrated Vitalight LED System will last significantly longer in comparison to conventional vegetable crisper bins.

Sliding Top Tray

The Humidity Drawer is divided by a Sliding Tray at the top that can be pushed back to reveal the rest of the drawer. The top tray is ideal for storage and organisation of smaller, easily bruised items such as tomatoes.
