PAC-ZC80L-E Zone Controller

PAC-ZC80L-E

The PAC-ZC80L-E Zone Controller brings to fruition expanded functionality and interaction to realise even greater energy savings. With the ability to control up to 8 zones, and equipped with Intuitve Airflow Control and three built in sensor functions (temperature, occupancy, brightness), the PAC-ZC80L-E Zone Controller brings intuitive, yet simple control to a whole new level. The PAC-ZC80L-E Zone Controller is compatible with 24V dampers only.

Features

Backlit LCD Touch Screen

The PAC-ZC80L-E comes standard with a PAR-ZC01ME-E Wired Wall Controller, featuring a full dot liquid crystal display (LCD), backlit touch screen, and simple menus for easy operation. For ease of use the user defined coloured LED indicator (at the bottom of the controller) lights up to indicate the current operation mode i.e. Red for Heating, Blue for Cooling, Green for Night Setback.

Optional Wi-Fi Control

With the addition of award winning Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi Control, the PAR-ZC Zone Controller’s capabilities extend beyond what was previously thought possible. Advanced temperature monitoring and management, and intuitive, customisable operation all at your fingertips. Now you can control and monitor which zones your ducted heat pump is controlling in real time from absolutely anywhere via your smartphone, tablet or online account..

Weekly Timer

The PAR-ZC01ME-E Wired Wall Controller allows you to set up to 8 temperature and airflow patterns per day for seven days, allowing you to reduce your energy consumption when needed, saving you both time and money. Perfect for the busy home and office or retail store.

Temperature Sensor

Sensing the return air of the indoor ducted unit is not always ideal. With an inbuilt thermostat (PAR-ZC01ME-E wall controller) the PAC-ZC80L-E Zone Controller allows the actual usable space temperature to be measured, offering more realistic and timely temperature measurement where it is needed most.

Occupancy Sensor

Incorporating a built in occupancy sensor, the PAC-ZC80L-E Zone Controller (via the PAR-ZC01ME-E wall controller) constantly monitors the usable area to detect vacancy. Once detected, the zone controller uses internal functions to implement one of 4 user defined energy-save control options to reduce energy consumption; turn the unit On/Off, lower the fan speed, temperature offset, or turn user designated zones On/Off.

Brightness Sensor

Working in conjunction with the Occupancy Sensor, the Brightness Sensor can be set to maximise energy savings when it detects user defined “Light” or “Dark” conditions (lux values), extending on the inbuilt energy saving principles.

Intuitive Airflow Control

Where traditional ducted systems require manual adjustment of the indoor fan speed, the PAC-ZC80L-E, equipped with Mitsubishi Electric's exclusive Intuitive Airflow Control, intuitively detects which zones you have open/closed and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. When zones are not in use the fan speed is lowered automatically, leading to increased overal energy savings.

Temperature Range Restriction

Via the PAR-ZC01ME-E, you can limit the maximum and minimum temperature settings preventing overheating or overcooling. In house testing has established that using a temperature within 1°C results in a 10% reduction in power. This controller also comes with an operation lock.

Night Setback

To prevent indoor dew or excessive temperature rise, the PAR-ZC01ME-E can be set to start the heating operation when the control object group is stopped and the room temperature drops below the preset lower limit temperature. Converselt, it can also be set to start the cooling operation when the control object group is stopped and the room temperature rises above the preset upper limit temperature.
*Temperature range and night setback mode availability depends on heat pump model. Please confirm mode availability where this feature is critical to design.

Auto Return

This function helps to maintain the indoor temperature at the required level. Even if the temperature setting is changed during operation, the set temperature automatically returns to the originally preset temperature after certain amount of time. It is possible to set the required temperature for limited time (30-120 min. in 10-minute increments).
