Splittable Design for Flexible Installation – Ideal for Remodelling Existing Homes
Installing a ducted system into an existing home can be a challenge, especially when it comes to getting it up into the roof space. A home’s maintenance hole can sometimes be too small to get a traditional ducted indoor unit through, meaning a homeowner could face increased costs for remedial work for cut outs in ceiling gib (or roofing iron) in order to install, or miss out on the choice of a ducted system altogether when upgrading their heating.
To overcome this challenge, the new PEA-M HAA/LAA Splittable Ducted System has been introduced to Mitsubishi Electric’s extensive range of ducted solutions. This system features a two-piece construction that allows separation of the indoor unit’s heat exchanger and fan deck assembly for easier handling and installation in the roof space†.
Furthermore, maintenance is made convenient. The two-way access to the fan deck assembly and drain pan means that even when the unit is installed near the ceiling and is inaccessible from underneath, the unit is accessible from another side.
† When fully installed the PEA-M HAA/PEA-M LAA models should be assembled together in one-piece. Any gaps between the fan deck section and heat exchanger at final install will result in significant pressure loss.
