You Could be Eligible for a Grant for 80% off the Cost of a Heat Pump
Managed by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), the four-year government programme is designed to help New Zealand’s most vulnerable by making homes warmer, drier and healthier. Homeowners in lower-income areas or with a Community Services Card can be eligible for a grant, covering 80% of the cost of an efficient heat pump (capped at $3,000 including GST) as well as home insulation.
