Are you an experienced and driven Trade Marketer with an interest in energy efficient products aimed at the building industry? Do you thrive on combining your passion for marketing with you technical aptitude, astute analytical ability and love for building stronger customer relationships?

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, in this B2B marketing role you are responsible for the development and delivery of the tactical marketing strategy to our trade customer base. This role is integral to achieving annual sales and market share targets as well as achieving set brand objectives.


  • Do you have experience in developing, defining and implementing tactical trade marketing strategy including digital campaign management?

  • Are you comfortable interpreting technical product or technology specs to develop effective marketing copy for web and brochure content, trade communications and industry articles?

  • Do you see yourself as a stakeholder influencer that thrives on building strong trade customer and industry relationships?

  • Are you data literate, love digital data metrics and using these insights to drive digital marketing initiatives, identify market trends and opportunities?

  • Are you able to confidently coordinate product launches, trade shows and conferences?

We are looking for a highly organised self-starter that keeps their cool under pressure and is comfortable juggling multiple projects and tasks at the same time. You will have proven success in event management and project management. Your inquisitive mind will help you quickly build your technical product knowledge and enable you to contribute effectively to the positioning and messaging of our products. You know the Microsoft Office Suite inside out and you have knack for digital marketing campaign development.


Skills and Experience Required

  • A marketing degree

  • Up to 5 years experience in a B2B marketing role

  • A heating industry background will be a distinct advantage

  • Experience in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns

  • Superior written and spoken English communication skills

BMS SALES ENGINEER

BDT Ltd, the exclusive NZ distributer of Mitsubishi Electric products, is looking for a controls expert to manage our newly formed BMS business.

BDT pride itself in hiring the best of the best in the industry so you must be no exception. We need someone to work initially in business development working closely with our existing mechanical customers and consultant base on Building Automation and Energy Management, to establish this business within BDT.

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the BMS/HVAC controls industry including BMS design, programming, commissioning and service and advanced knowledge of networks. You will have high level understanding of Lonworks, BACnet, Modbus and other commonly used communication protocols. Specific experience or certification with Tridium is not essential but would be a huge bonus as would an electrical registration.

To be successful in this role you will not only need technical ability and knowledge in BMS and HVAC but exceptional relationship skills that allow you to be a persuasive presenter. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate yourself are an absolute must.

You will be trained in all aspects of the product but need to bring with you an energy and desire to achieve, a passion to learn and exceptional relationship skills.

While sales experience is a plus it is not essential but you must have a proven record of customer contact, be sharply presented and possess a can do attitude with plenty of enthusiasm.
